DOT HAZMAT General Awareness: Packing and Loading Hazardous Materials

  • Understand the Hazardous Materials Regulations" (HMR) requirements for safe packing and loading of HAZMAT shipments
  • Know where to find details about these requirements in the HMR
  • Know safe work practices that you should follow when packing and loading hazardous materials for shipment.

DOT HAZMAT General Awareness: Shipping and Unloading Hazardous Materials

  • Understand Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements for placarding vehicles that are used to transport HAZMATs
  • Know safe practices to follow when shipping HAZMATs
  • Know safe practices to follow when receiving, unloading and storing HAZMATs at your facility.
