In this episode, Chuck Boutall, Director of Education shares helpful information and resources for restoration professionals. He talks about permeance, the speed of water through building materials. Permeance has control over the drying time of materials that we have no control over. If the materials are high in permeance then the water is going to move through the materials easily. While materials low in permeance are going to take longer to dry. When it gets down to it remember when the perms are low the water moves slow. When the perms are high the water will fly.
