14 IIICRC CEC The Upholstery and Fabric Cleaning Technician (UFT) certification covers upholstery fiber categories, fiber identification and testing, manufacturing of the fiber and fabric, the chemistry of cleaning, methods, protections, spotting, and potential problems. Upon achieving the certification, you demonstrate you have specific knowledge about fabric and fiber content and furniture construction and can identify limitations and potential cleaning-related problems on a given piece of upholstery.
