The Tramex Moisture Encounter 5, the updated Moisture Encounter Plus, is a non-destructive moisture meter for detecting moisture in most building materials. Dual Depth Moisture Meter
The Dual Depth feature of the ME5 makes it possible to determine where the moisture is located within the material. The shallow-depth readings, up to ⅜” (10mm), and deep-depth readings, up to 1¼" (30mm), can be used to compare surface moisture and core moisture and eliminate the influence of the substrate when testing coverings.
